Convertible Envelope Cargo Pants

Built around UnDeR20’s exploration of Mail Art, these cargo pants translate the act of opening an envelope into a three-state garment. Envelope-shaped panels at the legs can lie closed, fold forward, or fold back to expose their PU faux-leather reverse, while a detachable waist pouch lets the silhouette shift between a clean trouser and a more equipped utility look.

The straight-leg cut balances a relaxed streetwear proportion with everyday wearability. Brushed faux-wool suiting gives the body a soft wool-like hand and enough structure to hold a clean line, while the smoother leather-look panels add contrast when revealed. Zipper placement at the thighs and hems references 1940s U.S. Army Air Forces flying suits, and custom UnDeR20 postmark snaps carry the collection’s correspondence theme into the hardware.
