Description
The Los Angeles MOCA Slogan Tee features two photographs taken by UnDeR20 founder TenGuSan outside the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles.
One of the images documents Questions, the iconic public artwork by American conceptual artist Barbara Kruger. Known for her high-contrast red, white, and black palette and bold sans-serif typography, Kruger developed a visual language that has had a lasting influence on fashion, advertising, and street culture. Supreme’s red-and-white Box Logo is also widely understood as an appropriation and extension of this visual system.
Rather than reproducing the mural from a complete frontal view, the design combines a cropped section of the text from Questions with a second black-and-white photograph that more closely reflects TenGuSan’s own photographic language. Both images were taken outside MOCA: one preserves the direct impact of public art, while the other uses compressed space, cropping, and flattened composition to transform an ordinary urban scene into a more contemporary photographic image.
The text repeatedly raises questions about power, order, freedom, and obedience:
Who is beyond the law?
Who is bought and sold?
Who is free to choose?
Who is judged?
Who follows orders?
Who is honored the longest?
Whose prayers are loudest?
Who dies first?
Who laughs last?
By layering public art, street imagery, and photography, the piece transfers a series of political questions from the museum wall into the space of everyday clothing.

UnDeR20 Story
UnDeR20 was founded on January 23, 2021 by the artist, TenGuSan. Since its establishment, we have been dedicated to the design and release of original toys, which have been widely recognized across Asia, in particular, Japan and China. In 2023, we started our own clothing and accessories lines because we felt that we couldn't find clothes that truly excited us anymore. So we are going to create them ourselves.
From toys to streetwear, just like our name suggests, we have always been "under 20 years old." We uphold our slogan, "Wandering Soul, Untamed Heart." We gather artists from around the world and always stand with the "wildest" young people. A revolution without dancing is a revolution not worth having, right?
